The Audio-Technica ATN95E was the stylus replacement for the highly rated AT95E cartridge that has been discontinued - victims of the consumer electronics product life cycle where the product life cycle is around 2-3 years which means a product has to be revised or updated every two years or so. On one side, this is beneficial to the industry and consumerss since it forces constant research and innovation. On the other hand, it is wasteful and counterproductive. This fosters short-term quality and product thinking - products that have a short-term life on the shelf. They break or sound old after a few years!

AT LP GEAR®, our philosopjy runs counter to corporate convention. We believe that products created for perfection should last a lifetime of enjoyment or much longer like the Guarneri violin. Older than the USA— 273 years old to be exact, the Vieuxtemps Guarneri Del Gesu-1741 named for its most famous owner, the leading Belgian virtuoso and composer who esteemed it so much he wanted to be buried with it, recently became the most expensive viloin in the world, selling for an estimated $16 million. Its new owner anonymously donated the historic instrument to violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, on loan for the rest of her life.

Thus we curated the N95MR stylus as testatment of our esteem for the Audio-Technica 95E cartridge so devoted owners will continue to hear this gem at its best for many decades to come. Do not order this stylus if it looks different (aside from color) from what you have. It will not fit if the original cartridge is missing or has been changed.
