The 981HZS cartridge is one of Stanton's best cartridges. When it came out, CDs had just entered the market thus dampening the popularity for this cartridge.
The LP GEAR D98S stylus is specified for the Stanton 981HZS cartridge. Consistent with the high caliber of the 981HZS cartridge, the LP Gear D98S stylus comes with highly polished and superbly regarded Vivid Line diamond bonded to a thin-wall custom aluminum alloy tube cantilever for natural sound quality and superior tracing of record grooves. It results in superb accuracy and faithful reproduction of recorded voice, music and complex harmonic detail.
