Product Info

AUDIO-TECHNICA AT-SB727-BK SOUND BURGER PORTABLE TURNTABLE IMPROVED BY LP GEAR (BLACK)
- Upgraded with the new legendary LP Gear ALN3600LE stylus!

Here is the AT-SB727 Sound Burger at its finest sound quality!

The AT-SB727 is a modern adaptation of the 1980's Audio-Technica AT770 Mister Disc SOUND BURGER. Like its forerunner, it has an integrated cartridge, plays 33.3 and 45RPM, and operates approxinmately for 12 hours on a full battery charge. In addition, it offers modern updates: battery rechargeability, bluetooth, 3.5mm output jack with 3.5 mm male to dual RCA male audio cable, and a sturdier, more durable, and ubiquitous cartridge and stylus.

Quality-wise, it is very well made just like all Audio-Technica products. It should last decades like its predecessor.

Sound-wise, it's surprisingly good - not audiophile quality good - but good enough to play your cherished LP records and enjoy them. Due to its lack of suspension, you need to place it on a flat surface and a solid stand else it will wobble and likely skip should it encounter external vibrations.

Weakest link
Its weakest link is its stylus. It is factory-fitted with the ubiquitous ATN3600L stylus. This stylus has been well-reviewed so we will not delve into its performance and limitations. Suffice to say, LP Gear has its upgrade elliptical stylus, the new legendary ALN3600LE (retail $49.00). We will replace the ATN3600L and install the ALN3600LE with your purchase of the AT-SB727 turntable. In essence, when you buy this turntable, you'll have the best sounding AT-SB727 out of the box!
