Bought this for my Fluance RT81. Much "clearer" sound to my ears than the AT95E it came with. Had to make a slight adjustment to the tone arm lift so that the stylus could contact the record. This was easy as it is a simple screw adjustment on this turntable. Came in two days and directions were clear. Thank you LP Gear.

So, I listen to vinyl via headphones. I have a deck set up with powered monitors as well but the vast majority is on headphones in a quiet place at night. It's how I decompress, refuge... whatever. I play a Onkyo cp something or other through a vintage pioneer integrated amp just for the activity. No speakers. Very, very high resolution headphones. The amp is very clean sounding, lots of headroom, nice. Good phono stage. I bought this item because I wasn't happy with the sound I was getting from my table. I knew it had to something in the phono signal path as I also listen to cds through said amp and it's clean and a lot more lush and full than I have any right to expect. Describing the sound I was getting as muddy is a compliment, this replaced the stock unit. The difference is more than night and day. Clear, so detailed and resolved and quiet. So very quiet. No garbage in the signal. Pops and clicks very nearly disappeared. From old vinyl. From old poorly taken care of vinyl I got for free. Nearly silent between tracks. I don't want to gush like a fanboy but wow. I have no idea how a budget set up sounds so nice and clean but I like it. This is the sound I was looking for when I took the leap from speakers to monitoring cans. So inexpensive, I feared I was going to have to spend much more to get this level of sound. The cartridge hasn't even "settled down" yet. I guess it should only get better. Looking forward to it. For those wondering, I did very little adjustment putting this premounted on my deck. Connected it, zeroed the tonearm , set the tracking force and anti-skate and checked the alignment against the included protractor printed simply on card stock. The only way lp gear could have made it easier would have been to sneak in and set it up while I was at work. 4 stars then? Reserved the 5th should the sound in fact improve. Absolutely recommend.
