During the 20 years Quicksilver Audio has been making tube-type mono amps, they have gained a worldwide reputation for clean, uncolored musical sound. Customers and reviewers report the presence of the Quicksilver "magical midrange" in all our amplifiers, from the least to most expensive. Perhaps it is this; perhaps it is the melodiously clear highs, the defined but never "boomy" bass; perhaps it is something even less tactile. But the emotional experience of musical performance is conveyed through Quicksilver electronics in a way that is totally involving.

Quicksilver's new 50 watt Mid Mono amplifier is designed and handcrafted in the classic Quicksilver method. Fewer parts, connections, and wires that the signal goes through, with each part chosen for the specific application from the best quality parts available, and completely hand-wired to obtain the highest sound quality and to maintain the build quality and reliability that Quicksilver is known for throughout the world. The Mid Mono comes from the factory with EL34 tubes. You can, if you prefer, choose to use many different output tubes. Setting the bias is very simple: one screwdriver control and an LED indicator. Power is 50 watts with the standard EL34s; 55 with KT88s; and 60 with KT90s.

The sound? Quicksilver-magical.
